Now that the leaves are returning, the grass is looking greener, and buds are appearing around us, the cold bite of winter seems like a distant memory. I’ve mentioned my love of winter before and today I was browsing through some b&w film I shot a few months ago but never had chance to look at properly. At the time I was going through a Neopan phase before I would later return to my usual favourite – Kodak TRI-X – usually shot at 800 or 1600 and then pushed in the lab, but seeing these photos here now reminds me of what I love about Neopan. For me it’s really helped me to capture the atmosphere of that chilly, slightly foggy winter’s day. These are all shot through my Leica M6 with my usual Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/1.5 lens.
