When Two Loves Meet | Part Two | Portra 400 pushed

A few days ago I came up with the idea of photographing my guitar collection. I used Ilford Delta 3200 for the first guitar and had originally intended on using the same film stock for everything, but I decided that for this particular model I just had to use colour. I wanted to keep the same style though, so in order to use the same kind of lighting as before, I decided to shoot Portra 400 at 1600 and push it 2 stops in development. So without further delay, may I introduce my Gibson ES335 in cherry red…I love the grain in the maple used for the body. Details: One LED light, Portra 400 at 1600/+2, Pentax 67ii with 105mm f/2.4 lens, dev/scan UK Film Lab.

Michael Leather - Now that is a thing of beauty. It reminds me of a 66 Mustang (Cherry Red of course), so much elegance in the vintage design but always ready to rock!

The grain of the film really lends itself to the finish 🙂
