Some time ago (which is actually not that long ago at all), we had a walk around Sheffield Botanical Gardens. We struck lucky with the weather which was good for two reasons: firstly, who doesn’t like sun? Secondly, I was wanting to shoot in some contrasty conditions to see if pulling Superia 400 in development would tame some of the contrast and saturation inherent in this film stock, especially when shot in these conditions. Here are my results, shot on my Leica M6 with a combination of two lenses: a Leica 35mm f/2 Summicron, and a Zeiss 50mm f/1.5. I don’t know if I would make a habit out of shooting this film stock, but certainly for a photo walk it’s a great (and fairly inexpensive) choice.
