Grimsby & Cleethorpes | Leica M6 | Kodak film

A few weeks ago we headed to our nearest coastline – Cleethorpes, about an hour and a half away by car. As we passed through Grimsby we saw a sign for the fish docks so we decided to stop there and see what there was to shoot. I had my Leica M6, some Tri-X and some Portra 160, and I quickly decided that black and white would perfectly suit the dilapidation that we saw around the fish docks. Nevertheless it was an interesting place to wander around, and then we drove on to Cleethorpes and I switched to Portra 160. I have only ever shot a couple of rolls of Portra 160 before, mainly because I prefer the colour palette of other film stocks, and I’ve also only ever shot 1 roll of colour film through my Leica – I tend to shoot only b&w film through it, so it was a new experience to shoot Portra 160 through this camera. I’m pretty pleased with how it all came out. The Tri-X was shot at 800 and pushed 1 stop in development. All film developed and scanned by us – UK Film Lab.
