Back in 2001, if you said ‘I shoot film’, you would probably have received a few puzzled looks given that digital cameras were pretty new, and at the time shot less megapixels than the cameras inside our mobile phones nowadays. I was looking through some old photos…real photos rather than digital files…and I came across photos that I took on my first holiday away with Erica, back in 2001. I decided to scan the prints and this is how they came out. I have no idea what the film was, although it looks a lot like Fuji….
From left to right: The Avenue des Champs-Élysées from the top of the Arc de Triomphe, Sacré-Coeur, and of course. the Eiffel Tower
Bottom: The Louvre.
Jon S6 - definitely better than my crappy digital ones from Paris in 2001!
christian - haha thanks Jon. I have to say when I was looking at them I was thinking ‘hey I wasn’t too bad back then!’
Laura Dale - Matiss and I are off to Paris in October, an anniversary gift from him to me, and these pictures have peaked my excitment levels!
christian - Hey you two! You’ll have a great time. My recommendations are (in no particular order)…Musee D’Orsay, Sacre Coeur, the Tuilleries, and the Louvre!
