A while back I signed up for regular email updates from Anthropologie. Yes, I’m a man and yes, Anthropologie makes women’s clothing. It’s not that I’m interested in buying the clothes…I just like looking at them, and specifically the photos of them. If you’ve not been on the Anthropologie site, they make very pretty stuff and their photography is equally well done…each email update is a photo of part of their collection. If I was to shoot fashion photography, I would want to do it for Anthropologie. I’ve actually taken a number of ideas from their email updates and used them to inspire certain aspects of shots that I create. Here’s the picture from their latest email:
